We decided to celebrate our first summer in our new house by traveling to the opposite side of the world for two months. The bulk of our time will be spent teaching Taiwanese preschoolers about sports, gardening, and music, but we will also be exploring Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Japan, and the whole island of Taiwan.

We're Alive!
Apparently, "free wireless internet in your room" in Paris only means "free wireless in the lobby". We haven't really been able to update this yet, so big apologies on that front. We'll be posting several Paris updates in the next day or two, depending on whether we get a connection at the airport. Right now, we just wanted to say that the stay in Paris was great, and we're about to head to the airport for a brief layover in Shanghai before finishing our trip in Taiwan.

All Our Bags Are Packed, We're Ready To Go...
We were completely packed and ready to go well before Amanda came to get us, which may be SHOCKING to those of you who know how bad we both are at procrastinating.
Amanda and Eva drove us to the airport (THANK YOU!!!), and there was virtually no line at check-in or security, so we have about 2 hours to relax and eat lunch. Next stop, Reykjavik!
No, we did not bring the trash can, too. |

So Close
This is NOT an interesting post, but we're pretty much done packing. We still have to get together the stuff that's charging overnight in the morning, but we're pretty much there. We'll be in Paris in less than 30 hours.
